Inntel brought corporate buyers with a combined spend of some £1billion together in London recently, with its sponsorship of the Institute of Travel & Meetings (ITM) first Chairman's Dinner.
ITM holds such events to offer suppliers the opportunity to engage with buyers in a relaxed environment, providing them with the platform on which to discuss business in a less formal way and to build new business contacts and long lasting relationships. The dinner attracted ten corporate buyers with a very significant travel spend between them - including Deloitte, BBC, BP, Barclays Bank, HSBC.
The event, hosted at the Radisson Mayfair, was deemed a great success and ITM anticipates hosting further buyer dinners in the future.
Yvette Rudge, Procurement Manager for Deloitte LLP said, "It was a really different experience and one which I thought was pulled off very well. The various elements of the evening created some great discussion openers and provided for an altogether enjoyable dinner."
Caroline Strachan, ITM Chairman, who attended the event, said "I'm delighted that ITM can provide this exclusive environment to help our suppliers get closer to our buyer members to promote best practice discussion and open debate."
Inntel’s Managing Director, Douglas O'Neill commented, “We were very pleased to support this event and applaud the ITM for holding it. When you put corporate buyers of this magnitude together with suppliers there are, of course, valuable networking opportunities, but it also allows for some fascinating discussions and debates, which can only be good for our industry."
